Port Richmond

On Thursday we went to Port Richmond. We had a tour guide from the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority that took us to the area on the waterfront where they import and export goods. Many come from companies such as Hamburg, CGA, CNG and Sea Star. Our guide told us that meat and food goods are imported. Things like fruit, paper and everyday used items are imported. Sometimes even live stock such as animals. Most of the area is ran by heavy machinery. They use a two hundred foot crane to transport the crates onto the the cargo ships.
